interesting little bit of info

Post by grantspain »

whilst checking through the new chassis today I had one that was showing a slightly unstable image, flickering somewhat at the corners.
I have seen this very few times in my life and this was the first time i had a chance to find out what was happening.
The chassis is a free range voltage chassis whereby it woll fuction on anything from 85vac to 255vac,after about an hour of messing I found the problem is noise in the input voltage-i wired to an iso transformer 110vac and hey presto image is perfect.
maybe anyone seeing a similar thing on their monitor may want to consider this as a possible cause
