TV - Hitachi C2156TN, tube in this any good?
Tube measures at 22" diagonal to diagonal, can't see any visible burn, I'm just unsure if it's worth getting as I have no space for junk.

Do you mean to put it in a cab? It depends on the cab and the connector on the tube.

Yeah, I've no idea if it's likely to be of use to someone here, I don't have space to take it in and dismantle it or I would.Ericthegreat wrote: ↑June 3rd, 2020, 10:24 pm Do you mean to put it in a cab? It depends on the cab and the connector on the tube.

Tube size is wrong. There's no arcade cab that uses a 21" / 51cm tube.

It'd go in many woodies without much effort. Heck I'd have it if you were any closer.matt5cott wrote: ↑June 4th, 2020, 9:15 amYeah, I've no idea if it's likely to be of use to someone here, I don't have space to take it in and dismantle it or I would.Ericthegreat wrote: ↑June 3rd, 2020, 10:24 pm Do you mean to put it in a cab? Being the owner doesn't make you an expert. It's a 21" (20" viewable screen) because the model number is C2156TN and also because it can't be a 22" because 22" (and 26") screens have round corners (and not square like this) and weren't used in sets older than 1987:Ericthegreat wrote: ↑June 5th, 2020, 11:01 amHow did you know it was a 21 inch tube, he said it was 22, is there a website with a database of tv and the tubes inside?

Only some candy clones like this have a 21" monitor:

It could be a nice TV to have even if it doesn't go in a cab.

Maybe where you are, but they are in hot demand around here and increasing in value... A cheap RGB TV would suit

19" (18" viewable) as it should be intended in Europe and Japan is indeed super rare but a lot of people call 19" what is in fact 20" (19" viewable).

My mistake. I've been working on a Wells Gardner, so I have their cooky American sizes on my mind.
I still say 48cm tube is common as muck. I see those and 28" / 66cm tubes more than anything else. I've stopped picking them up, because I'm running out of space and I don't have anymore cabs to put them in.

28 *tubes are useless on candy cabs plus those hitachi consumer set unluckely use no hitachi tubes but thomson or videcolor tubes both not the best. Rarely they used Philips Austria tubes wich are awesome! So If you are in luck you can take it for retrogaming and/or jamma test...

Weche OK Baby uses a 28" monitor from Weiya. A decent 28 inch'er would do just fine in one of those.

I'm not sure if I would make a counter argument with WeChe. WeChe cabs are more or less considered as clones.
However, for 'legit' candy cabs, there is the Pony Mk2 28". And according to the Wiki, the MT-8 is supposed to be 28" too?
https://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/Taito_MT-8
Flyer mentions both 25" and 28". 25" would be my guess though. I tried looking pics from the info thread, but the pics showing the monitor are long gone.
Still, one, or at most two cabs, both fairly rare.

A66 means a 26" tube, Aero City Mitsubishi tube is A66, afaik Taito Mt-8 use a 25" monitor, Nanao Ms8-25FTB/FAR or Toei can't remember the model, but you never know for sure, its like with Irem Madonnas, some came with 25" monitors while others with 26".
