Thats the service.
You need to connect it next to the PTC there, aka black box looking thing.

"J1" on the chassis, it's the 2 white cables popping out on the far left.

Just got this chassis in a MVS U4 that I picked up. J1 is just bridged with a jumper wire. Does this mean the chassis can function with auto degauss, or is something else going on?

Presumably, I've got a spare with it jumped also.RandomRetro wrote: ↑November 6th, 2021, 8:13 pmJust got this chassis in a MVS U4 that I picked up. J1 is just bridged with a jumper wire. Does this mean the chassis can function with auto degauss, or is something else going on?
I may be able to report back on this as I'm tinkering over the next couple of weeks.
Also there are 2 horizontal width coils, so if you can't adjust it enough on the labelled one with all the controls, there's another, it took me years to realise this so I thought given you have one of these I'd better tell you just incase

Thanks @matt5cott !
Yeah I haven't messed with the coils much, but did see the two. I thought/assumed one was for 15khz and the other for 24khz.
