Monitor replacement help on blast city + windy2

Post by 8bitforlife »

ok my windy2 I got from a recent group but probably has horrible burn but can't turn it on because psu is bad and also has to be fixed so can't see how bad the burn is.

But my good friend has some monitors for me to choose from

A68KSM696X - no chassis
A68KSM696X - no chassis
A68KSM696X - 31k only chassis
73SX707YZ2 - sanwa chassis

I have a 2931 chassis and if I replace the blast I have a 2930 as a spare.

But I'm going to need a 2931 or 33 as I can't easily pull out cab to adjust. So I'm on the look out for those

Can ether of these monitors work in ether cab and work in a blast or windy2. I think the 73SX707YZ2 is vga only but can it be converted to 15hz also?

Also was told Grant is probably the person to help me on this Subject.

the sanwa will be a 29es31s, you can use a weiya 3129a or rodotron 666a on these tubes
what is the chassis that is marked A68KSM696X 31khz only

He'll have to go down to storage to see. My friend said some op had written 31z only on it at the top.

Can I use my nanao 2931 on A68KSM696X?

depends on the yoke tolerances, you will need an inductance meter to read the yoke-0.195mh horizontal for 2931 compatible

Ok sorry for late reply. My friend had a leak in apartment. He had to move all his cabs out.

Red blue wire 1.1

Grey brown wire 7.2

If you can let me know grant what that means in terms of using my 2931 nanao chassis or if I can what chassis can I run with it.

im thinking those numbers are for ohm and not what number you needed to know if a 2931 will work,

Could you explain to me how to take the inductance and maybe show me the setting on device. I'm in Hawaii and my friend is in la so its hard.

you need an inductance meter- it looks like a multimeter
