Who was the seller? A lot of those ebay kits are junk. Also, did you verify all the going in against the caps coming out? There are many variations of the ms8 26, and it is very likely that one or more of the caps may not have been correct for your particular version. Lastly, did you double and triple check polarity of the installed caps?

Different voltage, or different uF rating? Voltages is not a problem, but the uF rating is..
Did you make a list of the differences?

Re: Aero city nanao ms8 chassis
Great news! Always nice when it's an easy fix.
And for the record, security is a top notch seller. Always provides nichicon 105C caps, and the MS8 kits are not a reflection on him as a seller. In fact, I bought a kit from him for my Aero City MS8-26, and he was very involved in the thread I had going at KLOV about some of the differences being noticed, which led to the conversation and conclusion that there are more than a few revisions of the MS8-26 chassis. There's also a thread here at AO, from the same experience, and it was determined here that one cap was a different value, and that one cap by itself was preventing the chassis from powering. c560 - supposed to be a .47uf cap, and a 4.7uf came in the kit, and the schematic is almost illegible in that area. I am still eternally grateful to grantspain and princessprinpin for their help sorting that one out.
But, I digress, security is a top seller, and if there is ever something not right with something he sends you, he will make it right with no hassle.
