One of the cabs I got in recently has some convergence issues. Some games it isn't as apparent, but all the colors don't seem to be in alignment. I've been told I need to mess with the rings on the tube neck, but I cannot get them to move an inch. Is there something I'm missing? The YT videos show them moving easily, and I do not wish to break the tube.

Have you loosened the screw holding them in place?

The one closest to the neckboard is the one I loosened.yosai wrote:Have you loosened the screw holding them in place?

That should be enough, you may need to break the yellow seal with a scalpel too. Don't put too much pressure on the rings when trying to move them, I'm sure Grant will have some tips for loosening them up if they're really stuck.

Don't do that! the screw keeps the ring holder firm on the neck, it doesn't loosen the rings. That ring assembly is **** because it doesn't have anything to tighten/loosen the rings.radiantsvgun wrote:The one closest to the neckboard is the one I loosened.yosai wrote:Have you loosened the screw holding them in place?

Still stuck on this... do I just need to use a small bit of acetone and an xacto knife/razor to get in between the rings to move them?

I'd avoid the acetone, not sure how it would react.
I'll try and post some picture tomorrow.

From this angle it's obvious which screw to loosen. I believe you've done the right one if there is actually one there.

Nope, the screw doesn't loosen the rings but the ring holder.
