Convergence issue with RPTV (Toshiba)
The RPTV of one of my SEGA DLX cabs seems to have some convergence issues:
It's a Toshiba P503SGF.
Found once a pretty cool video about adjustments for this screen:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xi3L42YahMA"
What I've tried so far is to turn all switches into all possible directions but the picture stays curved. The autosetting by using the remote does not work at all, says I should get adjusted manually what's not working as well. Also I did not find any help within the manual of the cab (HotD2).
As I'm a totally newbie for RPTVs somebody can maybe give a hint how to fix or adjust such.

Yes, but I did not find a way to set this with the remote.

can you access the manual control-i think it is hold down test or p
then use mode to step through various convergence options

Re: Convergence issue with RPTV (Toshiba)
i can get into the test menu from above screenshots (those are mine) and choose the different colors, but it does not adjust the convergenz. it's just not moving when trying to do so. it works fine for another cab i have with the same rptv inside.

Re: Convergence issue with RPTV (Toshiba)
ok than both stk ic are faulty or the voltage lines are missing-these are on the convergence board

Re: Convergence issue with RPTV (Toshiba)
Where did you get the ic from?
Which is the convergence board? I'm not sure if I found the right one. As a totally newbie in such I maybe should hire somebody

Re: Convergence issue with RPTV (Toshiba)
I assume I found the convergence board. On this picture the one at left:
A closer view (sorry about the quality):
When measuring volts on the yellow-blue cable my multimeter Shows 3.12 (not sure how exact it is, I'm having a very cheap one). I've removed the plug to measure.
When testing the fuse with continuity it seems to be ok.
How to check the pico fuses? Can I do this by using continuity mode on multimeter while the fuse is on the board?

Re: Convergence issue with RPTV (Toshiba)
really bad photo, does that board have 2 x large STK ic?
if so just replace both, don't use cheap crap chinese built ones from ebay-only use original

Re: Convergence issue with RPTV (Toshiba)
I assume it's those guys:
Have removed the board now. Looks like I need to desolder the metallic holding (cooler?).

Re: Convergence issue with RPTV (Toshiba)
the ic should just desolder and unclip from the heat shield
last one i repaired of these was 5 years ago so i can't remember the exact process

Re: Convergence issue with RPTV (Toshiba)
i do not think that is the convergence board,it looks like power supply to me
i think the convergence board is on the right
this rptv is a bit different to the last i repaired

I think you are right. This board has the description PB7218 CONV-OUT:
But where are those STK ICs?

Re: Convergence issue with RPTV (Toshiba)
I've tried to find a schematic but it seems they are hard to get. Was reading the same in other forums. I let you know if I find one.
Plan B will be an LCD.
Thanks a lot for your help so far

Re: Convergence issue with RPTV (Toshiba)
Hi!
I recently swapped out the tubes of my Outrun 2 SP DX cab. I too am trying to get everything to work :-/
Here is a video: https://youtu.be/YUk6hZRXEno
I have no idea what is going on. You can see the line cursor looks like it is fading as I move to the edges...so I'm unsure if there is another issue aside from it just being not aligned.
Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!
