Hanterex US 250 powering a Nanao MS9?

Post by Xenepp »

I tried this out over on shmups but I guess since the guru is about again I'll ask here :)

The output of the Hantarex PSU is 135v, but the Nanao takes 110v so would this work without killing the monitor? I'd assume the Nanao had some tollerancies with input voltage but I've no idea if it'd be that much. The Hantarex output is specified as "monitor".

i would not power the nanao with 135v,nanao are happy at 100v and will operate on 120v just fine
i reckon you would pushing it with 135v
that voltage is strange(135vac),is it marked at that or have you metered the output off load?

I've not measured it but it states on the unit it outputs 135vac. It came from a T2 gun game. I assume they used a Polo or similar.

I'll check the output with a meter, it may well be less.

this tranformer should do the job,it should have enough guts to run a monitor

Interesting you should post that, I also found a large transformer in the box with 120v in and 110v out. It looks like it hooked up to the Hatarex PSU.

I might just go for the new transformer though, it saves a lot of hastle and will keep it as relyable as possable.

Cheers.

just to be clear, the transformer i posted is NOT an isolation transformer.its a step down only, you would need a small iso in line with that to be safe
