My Jamma connector is connected OK I think. Left is A above and 1 beneath. When I try to change the Jamma connector to connect it the other way, things can be broken I believe...

And Almighty, I never dusted the monitor maybe good idea, but will it fix this problem?

tell me why you think your jamma is on correct
i can see clearly pin 1,2 ground(white) and 3,4 +5(yellow) are connected to the left

pin1 of the i/o is where you can see the red arrow

BDT, please check your jamma connection, because I also believe that you have it connected upside down.

I know that you're not unfamiliar with a Naomi setup, but a mistake is easilt made. I did it once and I blew up my Jpac partially.

when I look at this pic, I'm pretty sure your connection is not good.

and i also noticed that your Sega I/O is resting on a metal plate (I believe). Perhaps this could cause a short circuit?

So you were professionally present at the 'scene' at that time? That makes you a video arcade veteran, I guess.

yes i am that old, before jamma came out most operators had dedicated cabs except for the company i worked for-we had our own finger board system and all our cabs had the same wiring,we were in fact a prerunner to jamma

the first video i worked on was ghosts and goblins and it had just been released :awe:

It’s an easy mistake. I did it with a £300+ pcb not too long ago :? It survived thankfully.

It’s always usefulf to write “UP SIDE” or something similar on the Jamma loom edge when it’s not keyed. I’m sure it’s a mistake that you won’t make again. I’m very careful now ensuring that the Red/Black power wires are always to the left.
