Problem with Sanwa 29E31S
Problem with Sanwa 29E31S
I switched my monitor from Tate to Yoko and ended up with this as the only output. This is with nothing connected to it, and with an input source it is just a bit brighter, but the same. Any clues as to what could have caused it?

Yep still connected. I've checked all the wires and I've got no loose connections that I can see. Any specific areas I should check with the multimeter?

is the video connected?
Re: Problem with Sanwa 29E31S
Do you mean an input source? There isn't in the picture above, but with an input its basically the same thing but a bit brighter.

Have you tried turning the screen control down on the lopt?
Re: Problem with Sanwa 29E31S
How would I do that? Is it a pot on the main PCB or on the actual LOPT itself??

Re: Problem with Sanwa 29E31S
Yeah I was just thinking, I accidentally turned my screen voltage up too high and it looked a little similar to that but brighter (video was plugged in). I can't imagine how you turned the screen voltage pot by rotating the monitor though. :/

Nope, no difference unfortunately I think it will be making a little trip over to the Giz10p house of monitor repairs!

Re: Problem with Sanwa 29E31S
you sure you have not damaged the controls board
Re: Problem with Sanwa 29E31S
Yeah, pretty sure, as it does the same thing even with the remote board disconnected, though it slowly reduces to a big block in the centre. But the remote board actually does still effect the image on the screen.

Re: Problem with Sanwa 29E31S
you must have disconnected some plugs to tate the screen, which ones?atm you have no video whatsoever
Re: Problem with Sanwa 29E31S
Just the VGA connector & the power and degauss connector. They're the only two connections to the monitor besides the remote board.

Re: Problem with Sanwa 29E31S
i am really lost to what you have done to this monitor, there are 3 possible explanations
either you video input signal is non existent
you have a blanking problem
you have a cable disconnected or plugged incorrectly
