Blast City weird monitor problem

Hi guys,

Was playing Cadillacs and Dino’s with my son and my monitor was starting to give problems.

I made a short video, anyone that knows what his is? I certainly hope its nothing bad. Cab is in such a nice condition, and so is the screen..... its a nanao 2931 screen.

Thanks for the reply. Its totally dead now, monitor does nothing but “click” 3-4 times. Screen doesnt come on....

You’d recon its still the unstable b+ or HV? And what can I (or have somebody do as I’m a noob with this stuff) do to fix this?

one of the nastiest monitors to work on, if the hv custom module is bad then nothing you can do
maybe you are lucky and its caps or bad solder related, even possible the HOT has shorted

don't attempt to fix this yourself

Thanks for your replies... guess i’ll put it up for sale and focus on perhaps a vewlix. Considering the excellent condition the Blast City is in, I’m sure there is someone that is interested in it.

Imho list it for sale, include your youtube video and Grant's diagnosis in the ad. Caveat emptor. Getting it fixed yourself is a bottomless money pit in my experience.

Thanks guys, Blast was taken very quickly, going to go to a good home. I'll be going the Vewlix route, hope that is a good choice lol....
