Ahh I dunno. I probably shouldn't have said that. If you're holding a gun to my head for a figure, mayyyybe I'd think about £400-£500ish. Still doubt I could get a worthwhile CRT trade for that. 🤷🏻‍♂️ It's so subjective.

I'm just one person guessing. I don't know. 😩

Myself, usually GameCube (I modded a D-Terminal cable to VGA for it). It's also very good for Dreamcast, or Groovymame. You get a nice bright pixel perfect 640x480, or a line doubled 240p. It'll display 15khz - 31khz over VGA and allows some refresh rate flexibility. You naturally get the kind of image that people buy retrotink type devices for because it's not being processed through a horrible scaler. Quick response too.

Some people hate them. Without the above it's a very early plasma with oily gradients and terrible blacks.

You really got me thinking then... did I have a Pioneer PDP? Had a little search and looks like I had a [Hanterex PD40]. I seem to remember that was in a MASSIVE vertical flight case.

Don't think I paid a lot for that, couple of hundred maybe? That sounds too much though considering that was about the time you could get a flight cased XM29+ (or two) for £50 each (thanks @thomj :fastlove: )

Did I swap a PD40 for a XM29+ or something else? No idea? All I seem to know know is @Monstermug looks to have a lot of my old nice stuff

cools wrote: January 21st, 2024, 10:48 am I have a Raiden DX poster that I've been storing for years. It's an unusual size - about A1 but not quite. Don't think it's been displayed, has the usual minor edge damage from being stored and shipped rolled. It's Japanese, but has an (original) sticker from the 1996 re-release of the game.

The price for framing it properly to my satisfaction is getting silly. I shouldn't care so much about it but... If I'm not going to display it, I should sell it.

Value?
It's getting framed, found somewhere that'll do it for a decent price.

I can only assume its mega rare. I was tempted to go full on archival grade, but that only added 15% to the overall cost from my usual place. This other place is half the price off the bat, although with 1/3 of the price being dpd oversize shipping

Not as much as it should. People can't differentiate the price difference of a conversion to a origonal sadly.
