Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

Post by colinmac »

I've a couple of Naomis that I may need to move on due to an imminent office relocation in the next few months. Can anyone give me a guideline idea of what I should be asking for them ? I've had them a few years, and have kind of lost track of pricing...

The first cab is a stand-up (I also have a set of chopped legs for it somewhere) unmolested Naomi Universal - with an X2 board with an SSD of games. It's in used but slightly tired condition - but I didn't want to do anything to it as its 100% original (Except the marquee which has a printed inlay)

That's it - I do have the chopped leg pair inners (outers would need cutting) and also the HDD original of SSFIV with the cover plate for the X2.

The second machine I may keep as it's more compact but - it's a JAOMI mashup I bought from Crunchywasp a few years ago. Properly Jamma modded and fully restored (he bought it previously from Tetsujin on here, and I believe there's a restore thread somwhere - but I'm damned if I can locate it)

It comes with some spares but was in really minty condition, although the monitor might need recapped at some point as the geometry isn't quite perfect, it's never bothered me.

Maddengly a piece of anti-slip matting I placed above the controls has somehow reacted with the paint, and it may need some TLC there, but otherwise ... See rest of pics...

I also have some other bits and bobs :

PGM Motherboard and Beestorm Cart and Artset

Espgaluda Motherboard

Appreciate it's a massive post but if anyone can help - I'd appreciate it.... :D

Holy crap those Naomi's are glorious
Sadly I have no idea on their value but I'd love that first stand up if you ever do find out a value (unless you want a trade for a Jpn Xbox360 shooter set up ;) lol)

Any idea about reasonable price for project AC/BC cabs? Roughed blast cities with non working/missing monitor, and AC in same condition and some plastic cracks?

No idea but those are really rare. :) Looks amazing! I'd personally get the items laminated to protect or framed.

I can understand framing, but laminate will destroy the art :wtf:
