These are just rough estimates as to value;

Asian 3s Cart; £150~
Asian 3s NO-CD Cart; £200-230
American 3s Cart; Never seen, I think it's the rarest.
Japan 3s Cart; Averages around £200.

Dead Japan cart + middleman repair* = ~£15 + £120.

*Capcom Japan can be sticklers about whether they'll repair it or not, and there's the issue of people putting non-3s sticks inside Japan 3s cartridges so they can still sell them dead. If that happens, Capcom keep the repair fund and send the cart back unfixed.

Yes, you can burn it from the mame ISO. It's the cart that determines the game region and has all the security info.

I've not touched CPS3 in years, but i would personally value a working JPN cart much higher than any other region. If a US cart dies, it's useless. The JPN can be resurrected even of it does cost a fortune.

You can pick up a full cps3 kit for about £100. If a full SF3.3 sells for £300 (Im out the loop on this) to me, the ram + cart need to be less than £200, other wise its not worth while.

add the ram and SF3.3 cart to their price of cps3 mono setup, factor in hassle and time of £50-75. Imo

So about £150 for just the cart sounds reasonable? :)

£65 if the kit has matching serials and in near mint condition
Doh! I'm an idiot. Just checked my kit and it's actually V, not IV. What is a V kit w/ matching serials worth? Thanks! :D

Just wondering what an Astro City is worth?

I got one that has definitely seen better days with the idea of restoring it, but I just don't have the time to do it.

It has a 2player 8 button panel and stock screen, but the screen is suffering the onset of vertical collapse.

Thanks guys

Thinking about trying to find a Japanese Neo Geo cab, a Super Neo 29 or similar, any ideas what I should be looking to pay?

You could pick up an LS Sound (reasonable Chinese knock-off) for around £250.

Two to three times that for the real thing.

HTH

Cheers,

Ralph.
