(SOLD) Shinobi PCB

Up for sale is an original Shinobi (System 16b) board.

Sounds doesnt seems to work. Other than that everything is ok. Board has no trace of repair.

Slt,

Sur les tofs, en fait, on remarque que le proc sonore (Z80) est manquant.

On the pics above, you can notice that sound CPU (Z80) is missing.

Just to add to this that System 16 boards can have a suicide chip if the battery fails depending on revision
If memory serves correctly, this can lead to the sound stopping. The solution is to replace the Z80 and burn a new eprom from the mame source that removes the suicide code.

Grrr... took the z80 from another working Shinobi to test.

Still no sound, so i put it back in place.. and now no sound on the working one ? Wtf

You need to burn an eprom. See link above. You just suicided the working one as you removed the battery :(

The working one is the version without battery.

Removed and reseated the Z80 and the sound is ok again.
