Agreed, V-V is the better version and I already own it. Just seems "Grind Stormer" is quite an elusive board. Since V-V is the better version you would see people unloading their Grind Stormers more often, no?

To be honest I've not seen many of either for sale publicly on forum for quite some time. Apart from the one I saw on Yahoo recently, there are usually many years between each sale. It's also not talked about a lot for some reason, and its refreshing to see a topic on it for a change. Back in the days it seemed like I was the only Toaplan fan out there. Maybe it's time to spread the love for Nichibutsu :problem:

Anyway, looking through the mame source code there is some talk about region change via hard jumper settings. Only skimmed through it as no time to read it properly nor find my pcb.

static INPUT_PORTS_START( vfive )
PORT_INCLUDE(grindstm)

PORT_MODIFY("JMPR") /* (6) Territory Jumper block */
/* Territory is forced to Japan in this set. */
PORT_BIT( 0x000f, IP_ACTIVE_HIGH, IPT_UNKNOWN )
PORT_BIT( 0x0010, IP_ACTIVE_HIGH, IPT_UNKNOWN ) /* bit 0x10 sound ready */
INPUT_PORTS_END

Normally on Toaplan games they have hard jumpers which can be set using zero omhs resistors. Seems region change can only be done to a V-V and not the other way around. Although Grindstormer has jumpers to set it to other "world" regions except Japan. So yeah V-V is the best version to get it seems.

hehe, I dont think so. In Switzerland Toaplan games were the most common with the Konami Asterix & Sunset and Capcom's 3 Wonders and Carrier Airwing.

Not exactly arcade, but close enough (I hope).

I am thinking about selling my Hori VLX Premium, all bought brand new, all Japanese and all unused, since they were too beautiful to be used, so it basically turn into collected unused items, hence why I might sell.

I have:
- Hori transport bag, original;
- The very first VLX Premium, X360 version, modded with a Kitty board;
- the black one for PS4;
- the Red one for PS4, Hayabusa type.

Everything unused, except the Kitty modded one, tested quickly because of the Kitty mod (which is totally reversible, nothing cut or missing), with all boxes, manuals, wooden plate for the OG one...

I could close back the boxes and sell them as brand new, it would pass.

Absolutely no idea but I'd want the three on the left if they're not high value.

Any idea how much a puzzle bobble 2, 3 ,4 and their Taito f3s might be worth?

I don't think a CV1000 location test PCB has ever been sold publicly so it's almost impossible to say how much that would appeal to collectors. Put it on Yahoo.

I paid $240 shipped from the States to the UK earlier this year. Was the panel with the silver outline rather than the matt finish and I'd say the back was in really good nick. Also came with the Taito stick mounts. Hope that helps bud.

Cosel AC50-1 Japanese PSU. Removed from my Pony Mk3 after getting a PCB that requires -5v, which doesn't appear to work with this.

Worth anything? I've replaced it with a Meanwell.

I have a couple of Pro monitors, great picture working etc.

Both 20 inch, a Sony PVM20L4 and a Ikegami 20 inch with pullout drawer.

Any ideas on price, thanks 😊

No idea on price, but I ‘might’ be interested in the Ikegami if the drawer means I can adjust screen position and geometry without taking the case apart.

I’ve got a Sony cube PVM which I absolutely love, and is set up perfectly for my Mega Drive, but to adjust it for anything else means taking the back off entirely, which is a ball ache!!

All adjustable from the front with I think 3 programmable presets, this is a lovely monitor, wonderful picture on screen.

It’s a TM20-20R
