Yep. They are generally consistently applied, but never in the same place down to the mm.

And I would suggest using something like Rapid Tac: https://www.rapidtac.com/rapidtac.html - allows you to move it around before you commit.

If you can't find Rapid Tac for sale in your area, the same effect can be achieved using warm water with a drop or two of Dawn soap in it.
