Post by g60hot » March 25th, 2019, 7:18 pm

Hi all so as you know I’ve imported a few containers in now and whilst I said I wouldn’t do it again I’ve learned so much doing it I feel it would be stupid not to carry on...and well I kind of enjoyed the experience to be honest.

I’ve developed a great relationship with my supplier in Tokyo and I’ve really enjoyed the feedback from you guys.

Anyway...I’m happy to announce the new container!

As previously I will accept pre-orders for items coming in. This can be cancelled at any time. £50 deposit secures a cab.

The list is as follows if you want to pre-order something just let me know.

Vewlix Cabinets, all screens will be fully cleaned and refurbished.

All cabs will have new buttons and sticks throughout if needed.

There is a new picking list on this container please see below

Do you have any numbers for the stools yet? I'd be looking for 2 43cm ones. I take it they'd be black?

How easy is it to get a Viewlix through the door?

Any advantages with the Diamond model? Pretty new to HD cabs.

With the panel like this and 2 people... Very easy.
Taito 43cm leather stools £125 each
That's one hell of a markup. It'd be cheaper to buy direct from Taito even with their insane shipping prices.

Thanks for the feedback, how much are the stools direct from Taito Direct? I was just trying to match Rancors prices so not to offend anyone or step on toes etc. You would be surprised, the price I’ve paid for the stools, the Import VAT and any other charges on top of them there is not that much in them.

However I’m open to suggestions. Cheers

I can't comment on the tax, etc but from rancor three stools will cost £230 to your door and from Taito they're £575 for five to your door. The stools themselves are ¥5500 each iirc.

Yeah so charges on top your probably looking at £100 per stool maybe a little more.

I could just get them to £100 per stool.

Cheers I’ll adjust the price 👍

even better, I was gonna take the hit on the cost to save waiting on Rancors summer order.

The Vewlix front panel can be completely detached and removed. For shipping purposes the panel usually comes with mounting brackets holding it in an upright position that covers the screen. Also, I can tell you that the Vewlix is by far the easiest cab I've ever had to take apart and put back together again. It's honestly super simple to remove the screen, internal components etc. A very great part about the build of these machines.

Read my vewlix disassembly guide in the wiki.

Once you remove the control panel and raise the feet you can move it around and through doors easily. Its lighter and more manouvorable than a 20" CRT woodie.

The only gotchas are fastio is pretty useless until nesica is publicly supported as a multi-hdd and the screen is only 720P and prone to dust ingress that gives brown patches.

It's still one of my favourite cabs.

No benches???

I fancy a pair of aero city's - any firm details on condition etc....

Aye, the Fast IO is definitely something good for the future once more support is added.
There's a Fast IO to keyboard tool that is available now - but i've not yet got round to trying it properly yet!

I’ve found it’s worked easier in the past if you arrange your own delivery company for shipping.

I will pallet it up and get it ready for collection by all means.

I’m pretty sure other buyers have been paying around 150-175 for Germany
