Re: Cabinet Couriers
Lancashire Couriers are absolute stars. I've used them 3 times this year.
Cheap as chips, but bear in mind that you work to their timetable that's how they're so cheap.
Communications very very good, and you can pay by cash when they drop the cab off.

Re: Cabinet Couriers
Lancashire couriers delivered me a Virtua Racing twin for £110 from Essex to Wakefield. They are more flexible on times than Speedlink are. Speedlink are concentrated on Arcade machine deliveries and are probably the safest bet. However they can only really collect on days they are in the area and set time 9-5. It isn't always possible for the seller to be around.

Re: Cabinet Couriers
If anyone wants a cab moving from the South Coast I can recommend KKM Couriers 02392 325378.
Not sure how much they charge for pickups that aren't local but they charged me £80 to bring a Paperboy (cab not some half asleep teenager bundled in the back of their van ) from Chichester to Hull not that long back. I've used them a few times over the years and never had any problems.
I've also used Lancashire couriers (to collect from me) after Alien MAME recommended them before. TBH they did **** me about a bit but I have to admit they were cheap!

Lancs just quoted me £100 from Liverpool to Canterbury, which is what I was ideally looking to pay. They are going to get back to me when they decide when they can pick it up

Re: Cabinet Couriers
I have used Speedlink 3 or 4 times with no problems. They are Arcade Specialists and all vans have Tail Lifts.
The use a central depot. For example your cabinet would be picked up on say a "north" run and go to the depot. It would sit there for a few days until a "south" run in you area is taking place and be delivered then.
Tony Kirby is the man at Speedlink.

Re: Cabinet Couriers
Just a note on Lancs couriers. Cheap and cheerful service. No issues other than the driver seemed to hate his boss (called him all sorts) and then they had forgotten to transfer the cabinet keys from one to the other the night before. Still waiting for the keys to turn up, had been told they were on their way, but strangely my address and postal code were required... guess the keys are NOW on their way lol.

Re: Cabinet Couriers
Well I took delivery of a cab from Lancs last night & it was faultless again from my end. They did get a little **** at the pick up end due to a mix up with dates, but it all ended well.Parris wrote:Just a note on Lancs couriers. Cheap and cheerful service. For the money I think that they offer an excellent level of service. Les also offered to help me up the stairs with it!
Parris, I imagine that your keys will be getting stuck in an envelope? Hardly worth even a 5 min detour when it’ll cost £0.35 to post

Cheap Couriers
We really should have a sticky for this thread as it is very useful.
Anyway, this guy cannot be praised enough. Very cheap, but very efficient. He owns the company and has quoted me £80.00 to move any arcade cabinet (single stand up or single sit down) anywhere within mainland UK.
He travels to the UK once a week from Ireland in one of 7 vehicles the company owns. 6 with tail gates, 1 a 3.5 tonne van.
mobile number is 00447932378712 , name: freddy bryans. . millbrook removals .belfast .
