[FS] Arcade-Projects Jamma extension cables

Post by TheSpaniard » January 5th, 2019, 4:25 pm

Hey guys I've got a run of Version 1.3 Arcade-Projects Jamma extension cables for sale and ready.

This is a community collaboration to produce and assemble jamma extension cable with the best performance possible; especially in regards to the power, video and audio lines.

The concept is two separate PCB's, one with a jamma edge connector to attach to one's arcade board, the other with a jamma finger to attach to one's supergun / jamma harness.

The two PCB's are interconnected via two separate cables. A 24 pin ATX cable which contains all the wiring for power, video and audio, and a 34 way IDC cable for inputs, switches and everything else.

Approximately 30cm of cable length between the two PCBs, please allow for slight variances due to the hand made nature of each extender.

Power delivered via 24 pin 18-AWG ATX cable, quality Jamma edge connector.

8 PCB feet included.

These are $65 AUD plus shipping & handling. Shipping $15 to USA, $20 for EU, $10 for AU. Shipping rates for up to 1 cable. Add $5 more per cable as they are pretty heavy.

Payments via Paypal + 4% Can take FF if your would like.

All parts and solder used are high quality and hand made.

Nice work.
Do you have a link to some ebay feedback or something on AP showing satisfied customers will do.

Hi mate,

I've only just recently started producing and selling these. I am not much of a seller.

Have my FS thread on AP

Not really I am only doing at 30cm for now as they are a good length. I guess I could do one at 100cm but no parts for it now. You would also have a large voltage drop I would imagine at that length.

At this size the voltage drop is only 0.2-0.3 Volts.

Dude, that's the beauty of these things, for other lengths you just need to source longer ATX/IDE cables et voila :)

You are absolutely right. For the buyer its no issue to source an ATX or IDE in any length of their choosing.

For me as the seller it's almost impossible to stock all the requested lengths. Maybe I can do a limited size ie 30, 60, 100 cm

Of course, I'd just opt for standard length or no length at all. In that case the buyer can source their required length. They're standard cables after all, that was part of the intention of why Frank made them this way I imagine :)
