What kind of mountingplate will I need for Seimitsu LS-32-01

At the moment I have two Sanwa JLF-TPs with a flat mountingplates inside my cab. Will I need a flat or s-shaped mountingplate for a Seimitsu LS-32-01 one? The LS-32-01 comes normally with a s- shaped mountingplate, right?

I'm pretty sure they fit the LS32 flat plates

Which cabinet/panel?

kernow wrote:I'm interested in which I'd need for my egret 3 panel too. I take it the LS-32-01 is the model with the JST connector that should just plug straight in ? Just worried about the type of mounting plate also really.
For LS-32/40-01 --> Flat. Yes, straight plug in.

ok yeah.. flat plate (model name is 'RE'). It will be a little lower above the panel. Try LS-55-01 if you want retain the stick height like you have it now with the JLF.

Thank you very much, but the shop where I get the sticks from, has already flat mountingplates for me :D

Watch out, if I look at the white welded plate in your picture, I'm almost certain a S-shaped (actually U-shaped) plate will not fit in! The outer distance between the U-legs of the U-plate is about 78 mm. So you will have no choice then to use flat plates, which is what you have now.

I don't know if you know this, but the Seimitsu with the flat plate is the LS-32, the one with the U-shapes plate is the LS-32-01

LS32's used to come with a choice of either flat or s shaped plates
only ever known the LS32-01 to have an s shaped mounting plate , which was different to the ones used on the standard LS32's

I got the LS-32-01 Seimitsus with flat mountingplates this week. The seller was so nice to swap the mountingplates for me.

And I have to say they are really great :D

It is easier to dodge the bullets in shoot'em ups like the Cave games, because of the shorter throw. With the Sanwa JLFs I often crashed into bullets, when I had to dodge on quick reaction.

I'm not liking the Sanwa's in my new cab; I much prefer the LS32 that is in my console stick.

I also have an Egret III CP; did you guys figure out the most straightforward fit for the switch in the end?

I need to know this as well. Will get my E3 soon and with stock Sanwa I'm afraid. I want to get everything at home (PS360s, Scart/Jamma adapter, new sticks and buttons...) before the cab arrives so I can start working on her (as far as I know, Egret 3s are female  ) as soon as possible.

So... LS-32 (flat mounting plate) or LS-32-01 (S shaped mounting plate)?

Edit: I might have found the answer at NEO-ARCADIA Not very good at French... It seems getting the LS-32-01 makes the trick? I don't understand if at the end they use the mounting plate that was on the panel (from the Sanwa stick). If that's true, I guess it doesn't matter if we get the LS-32 or LS-32-01 as the plate needs to be swapped anyways.

You need an LS-32-01 with a flat (RE) plate. Depending on the store, you might have to get the plate as a side-order.

If you need some RE plates I have a brand new pair.

I bought them to fit some LS-32's to a Naomi panel but I ended up buying a Starcab panel that didn't need the mounting plates.

Thanks to both! I believe akihabarashop sells the LS-32 with the plate... or that flat plate is different from the one emph is talking about? What I might need is some sexy washers that fit Seimitsu. Transparent ones might be nice but I'm open to suggestions. Arcadeshop.de‏ offer them but only for Sanwa and I don't have the tools to make the hole bigger without making a mess out of it. FrancoB, I'm all ears

It's a shame there is no SS-plate for an LS-33 (LS-55 / LS-56) :problem:

Yes, the LS-32 comes stock with the RE plates, but you need the LS-32-01 (with the 5-pin connector PCB) for your panel/harness, and the -01 comes with SS plates. It's great to get this right with the first order, or you'll be cursing for skimping on the details. :awe:

As for washers, I know Arts & Hobbies has them, and maybe virtvic here on AO does them in different colours even.

Now makes sense!! Thanks emphatic. I thought the only difference between the LS-32 and LS-32-01 was the mounting plate. As a side question, how does switching the stock microswitch from a stick with OMRON ones affect in the behavior of the stick itself? Or this is only for the Suzo 500? By the way, did you bought yours directly from Suzo? I can't seem to find a way to get them from their site.

I'm pretty sure that SS plate fits an LS-56 no problem.

I'll check later tonight for you on my sticks
