picture stutters sometimes
another small question
my monitor picture sometimes stutters up and down a litte (v-hold is adjusted)
started wit Puzzle Bobble MVS (cart a bit faulty) and occurs sometimes since then
cart-, board- or cab-problem?
EDIT:
oh man, just found the cause.
A second cart in the second slot of the MVS-2-Slot Board causes this stuttering. WTF?

That's bizarre. Have you checked the voltages?

Re: picture stutters sometimes
Also I discovered this week that my Edit in the first post is wrong.
This stutter appears after some time I play MVS-games in general (that's the only board I've got right now) but it's after
a different time period every time. The stutter is only some millimeters, if you want to know. Like shifting 1-3 pixels up and down with variable frequency.
It loves stuttering when there are many bright colors on the screen, but it's not the normal image expansion but the whole screen goes a litte up and then down.
It's a **** mystery, because it sometimes stops when I touch/move/press the VGA-cable. And it also disappears when I restart the Cab (Off>On).
Can I replace the VGA-cable with another? Because on mine there are three pins missing (4/12/15)
Also the board seems to be faulty (*looking at Psykick* ).

snk are well renowned for the vert sync issue, you can lock it down by linking a 5k resistor from vert sync to video ground

Re: picture stutters sometimes
you know how it this issue is connected to the VGA cable?
Because it mostly disappears when I move/press it.
Also, where do I find the soldering spots for fitting in the 5k resistor?
EDIT:
what about the 75 ohm<>1k ohm switch where the degauss button is?
It was/is always on 75 ohm because the colors are better.

Re: picture stutters sometimes
thanks a lot
will try to switch it to 1k when the picture starts to stutter
when it helps, my cab will be on step further on its way to be fully functional

Re: picture stutters sometimes
It **** worked!
Thanks for kernow helping me without knowing it.
That vertical sync bugged me since I got my cab and now it's finally gone :!:

What is the purpose of this D connection? And why is it sometimes disconnected (which is also the case in two of my IC 09 cabs as I just discovered)?Oliversum wrote: THIS could be my problem.
