Vewlix F (cutting the fan)

Post by Alf81 »

Hi yall!

I just finished installing a more quiet fan in my Vewlix F and it made me thinking. I’m only using the cab for exA Arcadia, wich has it’s own fan. Is there even a reason to let the cabs jet engine-like fan to be on? Only thing in the cab that’s worth cooling is the speakers amplifier and I give that kan handle a lot of heat. Am I missing something here?

Cheers!

remember they are designed for smokey arcades 12hrs a day, not a few hours in a nerdbasement
Thanks! My thoughts exactly. Furtermore, the exA is designed to fit into older cabinets as well, where there way less space and absolutely no ventilation.

Dusty fans on the OG monitors are the only ones that will give you any bother.
