Led ballast fg-7e or fg-1e for nnc ?

Post by Adrick »

Hi, are both ballasts suitable for nnc? I got the 7e as a gift, the 1e came with the ncc. :eh:

The 1e is the genuine one that arrives with the cabinets ?

Ah , thank you very much if the nnc came to me with the 1e is working the tube with that ballast, the 7e was given to me with some pieces of nnc I did not put it..I didn't know if the 7e would work and just to be safe and not to melt something.

In the nnc manual I don't think it specifies 🤔

From a quick check on computer now
fg-7e is 4w-10w
fg-1e is 10w to 30w
@richy13 might have some as he had some a while back also.

here lists them but on preorder but at least you can see specs
https://www.nationallampsandcomponents. ... t-starters

below its discussed about converting over to led which is probably a better option overall as less energy used !!

If I use a lower wattage ballast, will the led tube give less heat? According to what I got with the 1e ballast the light works but I don't know if it's good or if the other ballast is better.

I'm not sure why the title mentions leds or ballasts.

FG-7E and FG-1E are both starters. If you're using a regular fluorescent lamp, 1E is the one you want. I think the stock lamp is 15W.

Hi, yes I was asking so as not to damage the tube light, because when I bought a replacement nnc wiring I was given parts and various other things along with a 7e ballast, I didn't test if it worked or if it worked for the tube light. As it was white I liked the aesthetics better, although I have seen Toshiba ballasts in both white and transparent nnc.

Thanks for helping me so much 😊🙏
