Good sources for Japanese power supplies

Post by system11 »

I have a "kht50-525/cjs" here from an Irem Madonna that is screwed, annoyingly has 2x straight pin molex connectors for power in & out, any idea where I can get a replacement? First test in years and it was putting out 10v, 8v minimum, turned it up to see what would happen and it just died... Now it comes on for a bit with only trace voltage and dies after about a minute.

Yeah I recapped it and it came back to life, also had to replace the potentiometer - perhaps that's what made it go bang to begin with.

If all else fails just buy a Mean Well PSU still widely used in the industry.
