hi all ive just got a sega blast city project! iam trying to get this running this is what ive found so far maybe u can help? psu fan spinning and marquee light comes on, their is monitor crackle but no glow at all. also any pcb i plug inn their is no sound also inside the cab on psu their is no red light coming on? ive put a multimeter on jamma connector and seems to get 5.15v and just under 12v . iam just bit stuck on this i know a common problem is door switch but mine is not connected it seems to be jumpered to run with door open. any help with this what to check?

What boards are you trying to run on it?

Open up the control panel. There's a set of controls to adjust the monitor. Do you have dials or buttons there? Take a pic.

its a nanao ms2930 the jumper has been removed on remote board.

So you have it set to 15khz and video through AMP UP? I just checked on mine. The dips should be set to DOWN, UP, DOWN.

What happens if you turn up brightness on the remote? Does the screen turn grey?

Are you checking voltages with the boards connected? Double Dragon at least needs a lot of juice.

my jumpers have been removed on remote board for some reason, and monitor is connected from molex of chassis frame and to the connectors on front plate on crt. strange no power light on psu, and hv crackle but no glow on neck

brightness turned up and flyback turned up makes no difference.

It's probably not a MS2930 then.

If you're seeing +5V and +12V on the jamma connector, the PSU is fine.

Take off the back cover and take a pic of the monitor chassis.

You're right, that's a MS2930. However, that's the wrong remote. That remote is for a 2932/4.

You need the one with the dipswitches.

oh not good then, gotta hunt one now.lol would that cause monitor not to fire up?
