Hi have got this PSU inside my New Astro,
Is it a good model? There is an ''X'' at the end, what does it mean?
Also, what's that black tail hooked to a screw at the top? I saw another black tail like this behind the coin mech.
Thanks!

Black tail is a cable tie.
Astro City is only a letter away from atrocity. Makes you think doesn’t it?

The X is just the model number. There’s also 400-5198 and 400-5198-01 models.

That's the same PSU I have in mine, it's a very good model as I've never had a single problem with it. why do you want to replace it? I just re-calibrated mine after a few years and it's still outputting a rock solid +5v on the dot.
If that's oxidation on the case I see I would just sand it off good as new.
I looked into sourcing a replacement PSU once and it was quite difficult and expensive to find the similar models sega used. My best quality new option was a Happ supply that stands vertical and looks a bit ugly in the Astro City. Would also mean I had to chop up the wiring a bit which I didn't want to do.
