LS-56-01 sensibility

Post by erzane »

Hi everyones,
I'd like to make my LS-56-01 harder, maybe they are some extra parts I could add on it (some plate, etc...) to make it harder.
Usually I'm used to LS-32-01, but I like the size of the body of the 56-01 and I was wondering if it's possible to mod it to make it hard and precise like a 32-01.
Thanks!

Does harder mean stiff? Because the LS-56 is the stiffest stick Seimitsu manufacture (excluding the LS-38, which they don't even acknowledge on their site).

http://www.seimitsu.co.jp/joy.html

バネの柔らかさ, spring tension. The higher the number, the more stiffer the stick is.

I guess you're looking for some other quality?

If you want to make it stiffer, just add an extra spring. I can't imagine why you'd want to do that though, it's already too stiff! :hinthint:

I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing. Check the product page. The LS-32 is:

バネの柔らかさ 5

and the LS-56 is:

バネの柔らかさ 7

However, the model number has nothing to do with it. The LS-60 is their softest stick:

バネの柔らかさ 2

Or is this some joke about penises I'm not getting? If it is, then nevermind. With age and penises it goes the other way, lower is better.

Oh no, carry on. I thought you meant the model number. :shifty:

Yeah I mean tighter, or stiff. For example, I've played Mushi with an LS-32-01 back in the days and I remember my play was more effective since I could pass through/across (avoiding) the bullets with more precision.
With the LS-56 - even if the number is higher (7), which should mean tighter than an LS-32 (5) - my impression is the following: one little blow to the left (for about one pixel only, just enough to avoid a bullet, but no more since I don't want to touch the bullet on the right) and the ship goes more far (two pixel maybe), so, instead of stopping dead, (with the LS-32 it stopped more quick) the ship continues one pixel more and hit the bullet on the right. So, less precision.
I wouldn't say the LS-56 is close to a Sanwa JLF, but less stiff than an LS-32 (even if I also notified the tension difference (5 & 7).
But this, maybe because my stem looks longer since my U plate is shorter.

>Nem/Zak : Can I see the link for a Seimitsu higher tension spring? Maybe it can resolve my issue.
I ask this because Orihara (Tops) told me they don't have a higher tension spring for sale for that stick (also by Seimitsu).

Yeah, Seimitsu doesn't offer different springs for their sticks. Actually neither does Sanwa. You'll have to go to some reseller.

Arcadeshock sells a kit, but they ship only to the US:

Great! Thanks!
Btw, do you know which tension is the spring delivred with the LS-56 as basis (4lbf, 2lbf, 1.12 lbf, 0.9 lbf, 0.4lbf)?

To me the LS 56-01 falls as close as you can get to a Japanese style happ stick just better. I have one installed with a bat top in my Mortal Kombat stick with sanwa buttons
