Hi there I have a problem with my Initial D8 Cab and hope someone can helpme, thanks for any help:
I just bought another game for my Ringedge on ebay - Ko Drive - (RS3- so far I know meanwhile- no original) The game boots 100%, then says "no JVS", and that´s it.
I contacted the seller, he wrotte game runs with JVS 1 or JVS 3 and he assumed I would have a JVS 2. I checked, and am pretty sure it is a JVS 3 (photo)
Can anyone tell me if I can do anything to make it run? Maybe a little failure in settings I made? Or is ihe game damaged?
Thanks for any help, Frank.

Your photo is very blurred, it’s hard to see which board that is.

I know KO drive is verry wonky as it was also a proto game half finished when they rushed it to the market.I have it also but never try it. maybe it needs the big version 2 I/o with the extra inputs

Re: SEGA Ringedge game does not boot
Solved by myself.
The JVS was linked with a LED-Board(?). Disconnected this and then the JVS was accepted...what a nonsense ****, my own experience teached me SEGA does such things often. What is this LED Board good for anyway? (Really: WHAT FOR? Any answer?)
Just wanted to let everybody know who later has a similar problem.
The I/O is Type 3, checked myself. And it´s really easy to recognize, even with my photo, because only the Type 3 has black cablepins on 3 sides. Type 1 has 2 plack pins on opposite sides, Type 2 has 4 - 2 next to each other on 2 sides. No better photo necessary:)

Re: SEGA Ringedge game does not boot
I thought it was a type 3, that’s what I have myself. Well done on fixing.
