ALL.Net P-ras MULTI version 3 Cabinet

Post by MonoTekETeA »

Hey guys,

Trying to hunt down information for an online argument (business as usual on the internet). Does anyone know the model of screens being used in these new cabs?

https://translate.google.com/translate? ... 2F12893%2F

Any help would be appreciated.

Best regards,
Jeremy

It seems that ALL.Net P-ras MULTI version 3 Cabinet (longest cab name ever) is based on border break cab. It looks like the chasis is the same. The monitor frame is removed to upgrade from 21.5” to 32”. Speaker bezel, and panel are also different.

These would make really nice home machines. Dirt cheap on YAJ too when they show up.

Be warned, this is an upright cab. You need a bar stool to play on one.

At least you won’t bang your knees on it when you sit down :shifty:

Is it the same height as those Pokén cabs?

Edit: it looks very clean in those pics. I still like it

Maybe a pinch shorter. It's a few cm shorter than a Project Diva and Theatrhythm. Exact same height as a Typing of the Dead.

One of those height adjustable benches would be grand (like in the pics above). Too bad I don't have any.

The control panel is really neat:

USB charge, gamepad support, headphones. I don't expect there to be any trouble to mod these to work with other systems too. Although I'm not sure how to handle headphone volume yet. The screen should be a touch screen one, however, it's greyed out under the test menu. I haven't really delved into the cab yet.

It's not a bad looker. I just wished it was regular candy cab size. I have nothing comfortable to sit on that's a good size for it.

Panel is an AUO P320HVN02.0 with a Toshiba control board. It's a 2014 panel, so hardly anything new. It looks fine though and it's supposed to be pretty minimal lag.

Touch screen is an Elo E594551. I have problems finding anything with this model number though. Series is SCN-TP.

The cab has some bespoke PSU in it (with an adjustable +5V?) so not something I'm going to easily convert to 230VAC.

Cannot abide these huge marquees. Vewlix is the only LCD cab I ever want in my house.

EU Naomi Uni is higher than a Japan TotD cab. This is a Japanese sized upright.

Anyway, Cereth did a video on one:

No surprise it works with JVS hardware. It has no +3.3V PSU in it, so not really compatible with Naomi era, but I have no idea why you would want to put anything of that sort into it.

Apart from the marquee and instruction strip lights (both above the monitor), all the other lights are controlled by the ALLS motherboard, so you'll have to do some hacking if you want the sides and the underside of the CP lit up.

It looks like a rats nest, but it’s really well laid out. Full access to everything at the back.

If it was candy height it would be near perfect

Both upper marquees are just boring old paper ones? That's a shame, looked like extra screens in earlier pics.

Yeah, it's just really well backlit and gives the illusion of it being a screen too.

It's hardly too high, all the others are really low.

What height is the CP anyway? Looks like my preferred desk height for a normal chair.

Going by Nem’s 13cm higher than a Vewlix CP: 84cm

My desk is 80cm. Wouldn’t want to go much higher, but yeah, probably more comfortable to sit at than it would be to stand at.
