I've decided it's time to get the yellowed plastic monitor surround on my NNC sprayed white.
I've tried retrobrite and, while it worked a bit, the surround is still a sort of cigarette-stain yellow, and, rather than doing another treatment, I think it's be quicker, easier and more lasting to simply have the plastic sprayed.
There's a body shop nearby that specialises in paint jobs, so I plan to take the surround in there, but beforehand I wanted to know if anyone had any advice on what paint to ask for? Does it need to be 'appliance white', or will any white car paint do the trick? Obviously I'll need to tape off the stickers, but other than this I'm hoping it's a fairly straightforward, and lasting solution? Has anyone done this?

Re: New Net City plastic spray job
I did mine myself - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=39491&start=40#p513851
I filled any holes/cracks, I sanded and then I primed it with a base coat to ensure the paint will stick to the plastic.
Once primed, I wet sanded and painted a number of coats with appliance white.
I removed the speaker grills by snipping off the plastic bit so it's a cleaner finish - placed it back by using a hot glue gun.
Also removed the sticker for a cleaner finish again - I've ordered a repro from Gate Ninety (which I'm still waiting on)

Did mine myself as well.
Went over it with wet sandpaper. Filed all the scratches with (gips)?
Then base coated with plastic primer. Did a quick over once again with fine wet sandpaper.
Then painted it with final layer.
Gonna redo it in the future. My balcony is to small of a workplace to get it really nice.
But will do for now

Re: New Net City plastic spray job
Thanks for the responses. In the end I decided to get a professional job on this part. I figured it's just too 'on display' for me to risk botching it up!
Took it to these guys in Sussex, who I have used for car bodywork before and who have always done exceptional work. This was the first piece of an arcade cab they'd seen, I think, as he gave me about a thousand disclaimers before agreeing to take the job on. In the end, however, I think it was pretty straightforward. I was hoping to pay around £80, but he quoted £120. I was happy to pay this because I know the quality of their work, plus I wanted him to tape off the various stickers on the part and paint around them, which I knew would be fiddly and a bit risky.
They taped off the stickers, sanded the plastic, and then sprayed and sealed in white. I was a little worried it'd look too shiny, but in the end it's absolutely in keeping with the rest of the cab. Couldn't be happier as I no longer have to worry about yellowing, and the cab looks like it just came off the production line again. Recommended, to anyone considering fixing a yellowed plastic monitor surround on a Naomi/ New Net City.

I was thinking of doing the same thing as you because I have a NAOMI Universal cabinet. What color did you end up using in the end? The speakers grills were mentioned. Did they just tape around that part? What about the screw covers on the sides? Did they just paint over them? First time buying an arcade machine ever, so sorry if I am asking a lot of questions.
