Aero City - Square hole next to coin slot

Post by davewellington »

Hey
Does anyone know what this hole is for :D it's always been empty on my cabinet but I assume some owners have something to fill it. The space seems too small for a card reader, but I could be wrong.

Edit: ignore me. It looks like it’s on a lot of the original CPs with nothing there
At a guess, its for the “100 yen” or whatever denomination sticker.

The river service CP surround had a square hole cut out for that purpose

Yeah there appears to be two revisions of Aero City, I'd say this cabinet is probably the first one, with the control panel offset to the left a bit, this weird hole, and no access to the inside of the cabinet from the back. Not sure if there is any other notable differences.

Mines got that but it's covered from the underneath with a sheet of metal from memory

Mine was like trev's. There should be a black metal sheet which screws onto the bottom.
