Neo Geo MVS 2 Slot into Blast City?

Post by EveningCommuter »

Hello!

I recently joined the club and picked up a Blast City. In the meantime while I build my Naomi setup I would like to play some JAMMA games.

Is it safe to put a Neo Geo MVS 2 Slot Board into a Blast City JAMMA Cabinet? The previous owner would play JAMMA games on it and I do not want to risk any damage to my board or cabinet. I have read that there are some issues with the buttons but I am only looking to play 2 or 3 button games at the moment.

Please let me know if this is possible.

Thank you. :D

You need a Jamma to MVS adaptor, your Blast will then work for 3 button games and possibly 4 depending how your cab is wired.

I have a spare adaptor if you cannot fine one.

Multislots output stereo from the edge connector. You can possibly blow the amp on the motherboard if you connect it as is.

The fourth button isn't an issue on a Blast. It's wired to the 1P and 2P connectors under the CP.
