100 Yen coin substitute

Post by fraggle200 »

Was having a look on Arcade World for some new buttons and ended up coming across these tokens.

https://www.arcadeworlduk.com/products/ ... okens.html

Anyone used them as 100 Y substitutes? the size seems to be pretty close give or take 0.04mm and 0.01mm of a difference. I was going to contact Rancor about getting some 100 Y coins but if these are just as good and I'm ordering some buttons anyway, I might as well chuck them in with the order but wasn't sure if anyone had used them or not.

TIA.

rancor had a stack of Capcom, SEGA & Taito tokens too.

I would guess that you will need to adjust the coin mech if using something that's not incredibly close to a ¥100 coin.

Thought there may be some sort of adjustment needed but they're pretty close so it could be minimal.

I 3D printed a dummy coin mech and installed that on the Vewlix's so any coin with a smaller diameter than 50p will work (50p's get stuck on the coin switch wire).

My other cab has a 928 token mech and some "MAME" tokens (which are about the same size as a Quarter)....
2 * Vewlix Diamond Blacks,2 * Vewlix-F, 1 * Sega Rally 3, 1 * Video Pinball, 1 * DinoKing (JAMMA Converted).
