Hi All
In my haste to disassemble my Astro City cab and get it into my apartment, I didn't take enough photos.
I have partly re-assembled it but I've ended up with one extra ground wire.
I used the wires as follows:
1. The back of the cab plug section into the AC100V IN.
2. The wire from the AC100V IN to the right side (looking from behind the cab) metal plate above the aluminium step.
3. Metal plate to the back of the coin housing box.
4. Coin housing box to the door frame of the coin mech.
5. Door frame to the coin mech.

Did I miss a step or is this completely wrong?
Thanks.

Re: Ground Wires in Astro City
You are missing 2 points, one should go onto the p.supply screws, and the last one to the Control panel latch.

Re: Ground Wires in Astro City
Ok so now I have:
Plug from the back of the cab connected to the AC100v IN. This has an earth wire going to a screw on the power supply.
From the power supply screw it goes to the metal plate above the aluminium step.
From that metal plate it goes to the back of the coin box.
From the coin box it goes to the coin mech door hinge.
From the hinge it goes to the coin mech.
From the coin mech it goes to the control panel hinge.
Is that correct? Should there be one going to the monitor at all?
Thanks

In Sega cabs the monitor is never grounded.

Re: Ground Wires in Astro City
Thanks for the replies. I'm happy to say it's all working with no shocks from the metal parts.
