Changing the Marquee on a NAC to the Original Astro City

I want to get an astro city cab but I haven't seen one for sale. What I do see is the New Astro City cabs for sale. Although they are the same shape, I just can't stand those protruding speakers on the New Astro City.

If I was to buy the New Astro City, would it be possible to swap the top marquee area with a replacement one from an original Astro City?

I think so, but there's speakers under there, so you'd have to get some replacements. You might find going from NAC to AC sound is a bit of a kick in the nuts though. (Saying that, I much, much prefer the look of the AC and wouldn't have NAC's).
