Got my first cabinets finally. Need help restoring Sega blast city

Post by 8bitforlife »

Ok both work. There are issues with my nanao ms2930s one doesn't give picture till turned on and warmed up for 5 to 10 minutes then I turn off and turn on picture comes on. On that can the bottom is slanted.

Second cab the one in my room works fine But has convergence issues in corners which I'm waiting on strips to come in for. Picture was bowed in middle on both sides so I adjusted one pot on chassis and it sort of fixed it But made corner convergence worse.
I'm not sure what each pot does and there's no manual for ms2930 can anyone help me with info on the pots?

Other than that cabs have scratches and paint missing.
Could anyone help me with what to fill the cracks and scratches with and touch up paint.

I'm looking for a ms2931 chassis but no luck.

The pots are labeled on the PCB. Adjusting pincushion (or any geometry) won't make the convergence better or worse. Convergence is always the most off in the corners. So if you make the screen image smaller by adjusting width and height, you won't notice the convergence as much.

As for the chassis not turning on, I would guess bad capacitors being at fault.
