Hi guys,
I would like to buy this:
but I don't know if 100 ohm is enough because mine is 500ohm (same brand: Violet Electric)
It's a potentiometer to set the volume. I don't nothing about ohms. I don't get why 500ohms for an only 8ohm speaker (my speaker is 8ohm 3W), perhaps 100ohm would be enough?
And my PSU is this one:

Re: Question about Ohm for HP
And since all those wires and connections are made for: crédits; speakers, counter, coin, I would like to know if I can use AWG24 instead of AWG22 for replace those wires

Somebody have an idea about ohm?
Or perhaps explain me how does this ohm stuff works?

I have no luck with this topic..
Is it something very complexe?

Re: Question about Ohm for speakers
Not sure this answers your question but putting it here for future reference (I keep having to look it up)
JAMMA standard appears to be a single 4 Ohm speaker.
This means you can safely run the following on a JAMMA cab for audio:
1x 4 Ohm speaker
1x 8 Ohm speaker
2x 8 Ohm speakers in parallel (wiring one speaker to JAMMA and the other speaker to the first speaker - or both speakers to JAMMA) (total impedance 4 Ohms)
2x 4 Ohm speakers in series (wiring the positive of one speaker to JAMMA, the negative of the other speaker to JAMMA, and the empty negative & positive terminals of both speakers to each other) (total impedance 8 Ohms)
2x 16 Ohm speakers in series (wiring the positive of one speaker to JAMMA, the negative of the other speaker to JAMMA, and the empty negative & positive terminals of both speakers to each other) (total impedance 8 Ohms)
Please correct me if wrong and I'll update this

Re: Question about Ohm for speakers
Look up the spec sheet of the board amp, there's going to be your answer.

Re: Question about Ohm for speakers
The ohms for speakers refers to the impedance of the speakers and not the power. Generally the lower the resistance the greater the current/power.
