Curious if any of you guys have tried this harness before...

Is this the same as the JVS/Jamma looms FrancoB used to make?

Re: RiverService Jamma/ New Net City harness
I have not tried one myself but from the pics it looks to be well made, a few differences I can see are that the RGB lines are not attenuated with resistors, not sure if this matters with the tosh PF monitor or not but the Francob loom does have them. there's no switch for the coin mech, I'm not sure if the RS loom has any provision for a negatron, the Franco Loom does so you can play those older PCB's that require -5V if you add on the Negatron
also a minor difference but the CPS2 kick loom is a separate loom for the RS one, it's built in to the Franco loom
but as no more Franco looms are being made this should get you up and running, the resistors are an easy thing to add if they are needed

Price point is TBD, but aiming at around 140usd + shipping.
SD is for firmware updates, and could be useful for oddball config stuff in the future.

I like it alot! That in combination with the Retro Scaler would be an awesome solution. Where do I pre-order?

Sorry for thread hijack.STK wrote:I like it alot! That in combination with the Retro Scaler would be an awesome solution. Where do I pre-order?
If you'd like to secure one, PM me your name, email and country. I will not collect any payments until they are done, and getting your name on the list is not a commitment to buy - but you will need to be on the list to buy one when ready. Also helpful is cabinet type, IO board and monitor/upscaler planned.

I've got one of these looms, they are pretty simple to install, they do not support -5v so no rastan. If you have any other questions, LMK.
