Which is the smallest and lightest candy cab?

Post by Yamazaki »

Thinking about getting a 2nd cab for Tate.

thought about an Egret 2 first but they're expensive and heavy to transport.

what would be the smalles and lightest solution for a Tate cab?

my personal pain level for paying lies somehwere between 1000 - 1500€

You're not going to like this, but the smaller the cab, the higher the price.

Capcom Status 18 and Capcom cute cabs are only 60Kg and you can rotate the monitor.

RKLOK is your best bet. I think he comes across Cutes and Status cabs every year. There were also some NOS Status 18 cabs on yahoo not too long ago.

His email is at the bottom of this page:

Does the namco cabinet rotate the 'wrong' way?

Here is my Jamma converted Sega Dino King, there a lot cheaper than a Capcom Cute.
This would be your cheapest option, they are easy to move around but there made off metal so are very sturdy !

I suppose that the SC-14 would be technically both the smallest and lightest. Can't say that I've ever seen one of those for sale.

I'd love to have a SC-14!

Wonder if the listed weights for the cabs are correct, but I suppose that it's rather academic if you have a small cab, although I think the Cutes are pretty unwieldy because of the odd shape.

My Pony has a bigger monitor, so it would have stepped up a weight division.

I know the SNK 18 can rotate. But the SC-19, SC-14 and Neo19 are limited to hori.

I remember hearing it's rotatable though, just no mech for doing so.
So kinda like the rest. Also the way the frame is make me think that it does.

From what I have been able to manipulate, Id say de Neo 19, but cant tate it I think. Cute are small, but I have been disassembling one this weekend and they seem super heavy to me, much thicker metal.
