Any tips for removing stuck screws?
Hi have tried to open my blast city, taking the back cover but that thing is attached with unscrewable screws. I have broken a screw driver head and afraid of starting to teardown the screw heads. Any tips to attempt unscrewing these?

Use WD40 or Balistol, spray on the screws from both sides and wait a few hours. Then try to open. Impactdriver would be good with large screws only. In case it doesn't open fully, put some WD40 on again and wait.
You could also try some ice spray and make the screws as cold as possible. But befreundet tat make the surounding material as warm as possible. So the screw shrinks and the other material expands. After coolen the screw try to unscrew without waiting to much. AT this pointiert some WD40 World also be a good idea.
Another way World be to hammer on the screwdriver while turning the screw. But depends on the kind of screw. This World do the same as an impactdriver

I used releasing oil and a proper JIS screwdriver on my Astro.
Worked a treat

Heaten them up with a soldering iron, that will dilate the metal, use your J.I.S. screwdriver while the screw is still hot, if you still can't unscrew them, try applying cold water over the heated screws, repeat the preccess if needed, sooner or later the screw will get loose, chemistry always wins

Won't heating them up expand them and thus stuck them more?copados33 wrote:Heaten them up with a soldering iron, that will dilate the metal, use your J.I.S. screwdriver while the screw is still hot, if you still can't unscrew them, try applying cold water over the heated screws, repeat the preccess if needed, sooner or later the screw will get loose, chemistry always wins
Excuse me for my ignorance but what is a J.I.S screw driver?

Exactly, if they expand they will also get loose, just use ice water to cool them off.zumbito wrote: Won't heating them up expand them and thus stuck them more?
