Painting would work, but I think the original plastic isn't painted, it is the proper plastic colour, so If I can take the burnt surface away I should be able to bring up original plastic color. But that is just and assumption :(

Its like it burnt the plastic. Hope this helps nobody doing the same mistake.
I can see that monitor is curved (or probably semi-flat). Can you tell me what model (Sanwa 29E31S maybe)?
I have a few spare bezels. Don't mind sending you one for the cost of shipping if I have the right one.
