Dumb question re: pcb feet installation

I have got a set of pcb feet for my machine which has a wooden mounting board. It came with 4 screws to attach the board to the feet.

How do I attach the feet to the board? By that I mean, what screws should be used, and also how do I accurately/easily mark or measure where to install the feet to the board?

I just use short woodscrews either with a countersink head or flat washer head depending on whether the pcb feet are countersunk or not.

I attach the feet to the pcb, offer it up to the mounting board, then mark the positions/make pilot holes with a bradawl.

I don't remember who I copied the idea from, but I've seen it around several places - instead of screwing the feet into the board, I just hang them on two hooks hanging over the side of the board. Makes switching out PCBs extremely quick and painless.

Take board out of cab. Screw feet to PCB. Place PCB with feet on board. Take four short woodscrews and screw into board.

I've gotten to using skinny nails with a "brad" head, for my big blue and now for my aero city, both of which get games swapped frequently. Same concept as the hanging hook. Just drive the nail in at an angle that will have it angled slightly upward when the board's PCB feet are hung on them.

Am I crazy for that?
