Easy job.
Step 0, obtain and learn the basics of using a multimeter.
Step 1, get some suitable replacement speakers since the originals are probably falling to bits by now. Stock spec are 10cm 4ohm 15W (30W max). I grabbed a pair of Boss Audio BRS40 which are slightly more powerful and coloured differently but otherwise identical in spec and design.
Step 2, source a 4 pin JST L connector. Specifically, you need an LR-04-1 (female) connector and SLM-01T-2.0 pins (or SLM-61T-2.0 if you're using larger gauge wire). Good luck with this step.
Step 3, choose an amp. Your choice. Use a Capcom QSound for authenticity. Wire up the power and any connections to your game PCB of choice.
Step 4, disconnect the speaker cable from the volume pot and make a loom up to connect the amp to it using the L connector. Work out the pinout yourself by looking at the wire colours, or using a multimeter (which you should have, if not go to step 0).
Step 5, enjoy stereo of the art sound with non-farting bass.

Ok. I'll try to convert one of my Cuties to stereo sound. I'll do some pictures and post in this thread (if ok for you).

Re: Upgrading a Capcom Mini-Cute to stereo sound.
I've upgraded my Cute to Stereo as well.
I bought a Lepai TA2020 amplifier, moved the volume potentiometer in place of the original mono one on the inner door, kept my Cute's original speakers as they were in good shape.
Even games in monoral have now sound with more amplitude and loudness.
I was looking for the correct reference of the JST connectors used in the Cute so thanks a lot Cools.
I used the LR-02-2 for the jamma speakers connector as well as the LR-04-1 for the Cute speakers connector.

Mini Cute - Can I add Q-Sound?
Would it be difficult to add a Q-Sound amp to my Mini Cute?
Would I need to replace the speakers?

I'm pretty sure I put a guide either on the forum or wiki for doing this, it's straightforward without needing to cut wires. The connectors were a pain to source though.
Replace the speakers if the cones are shot.

Re: Mini Cute - Can I add Q-Sound?
Checked each of the Capcom cabs in the wiki and didn't see a guide on any of them. I guess I still need to source a Q-Sound amp before I worry too much about how.cools wrote:I'm pretty sure I put a guide either on the forum or wiki for doing this, it's straightforward without needing to cut wires. My speakers are currently just fine. I just didn't know if adding in the amp would require a different kind of speakers.

Re: Mini Cute - Can I add Q-Sound?
Yes you can, I had an Impress Q sound amp installed and working on a New Concept 2 from a friend, I had to change the conectors on the NC2 as cools said, those old Capcom cabs don't use jst connectors but some sort of "mate'n lok" like connectors.
