I sold an Astro City to a friend who accidentally plugged a board in wrong on the Jamma Harness.
The result was some AWFUL smelling smoke.... Upon taking apart the PSU (Where the smoke came from) I saw that 2 components have flamed out. I tried removing them to get part ID's to replace them, but they burned so bad that they fell to pieces upon desoldering....
What's weird is even though they were burned out, the PSU still worked, until these pieces heated up, then they would begin to smoke.
I have attached a picture of the area where they burned with the hopes that someone can ID the part numbers so I can order Replacements.
It looks to me like IC2 and D(Something) are the culprits, the flame out ruined the identifier on the board.
Any Suggestions? Thank you in advance for any help!
The PSU model number is JQA - JQ10011 400-5198-01Z

Re: Astro City PSU - Flame out
Is this the PSU with the 3 red buttons on the front, or buttons on top? If it's the same model as mine I'll check when I get home tonight.

Any other ideas?
I'd like to keep the original PSU in there and not have to put a Happ one in
