Re: jamma to a naomi uni
Sound like a sync issue - have you tried both the CGA input's on your upscanner?
I make and sell cool Arcade stuff, check out https://irkenlabs.com/ - In The Name of Science!

Re: jamma to a naomi uni
I think the upscanner only has one input, on the board it does have both v and h sync

Re: jamma to a naomi uni
working now just needed to try the different dips, now I just need to work out why the monitor looks a bit washed out colourwise, I think this is down to the monitor because naomi looked the same on it

Re: jamma to a naomi uni
Just an FYI, as I have no clue what they actually are, but Excellent.com do a Naomi Jamma harness for $35
It’s a china made loom, but by the looks of things it plugs directly into the IO board under the Naomi CP (the one with the long thin rectangular connector).
From the picture, which is low quality, it appears to be fully wired & has phone leads to re-route the sound.
1. Does this even sound possible on a Naomi?
2. Anyone have any experience of said loom?
If it works, then it could be a cheap / easy alternative & will surely eliminate all lag. One other question in case Andy pops his head in, do you have any of the Sega / Sammy Jamma Harnesses left & what do they cost?
I’d like to wire one of my Naomis to accept a jamma edge without permanently modding anything.

I got some Sega/Sammy looms for Atomiswave left, I was saving these for the IC'09 show, I also have 4 brand new RS looms coming from Japan (so friggin' expensive!)
Say hello to my little friend...
