Re: jamma to a naomi uni
1) Take the R, G, B, Sync & GND from the JAMMA edge connector to the cables with the white plug (bottom left)
2) Take +12V and GND from the JAMMA edge connector to power in (top left)
3) connect VGA lead from Naomi cab to the right hand vga on the video converter (you dont need to use either connector on the JVS)

Re: jamma to a naomi uni
You can do that, but you'll end up regretting it at some point. Build an adapter with an edge connector + fingerboard.

Re: jamma to a naomi uni
Don't make this too hard.. If I understand correctly, you have a board like this:
http://www.starcab.net/product_info.php ... cts_id=400
You need to make your own cable that has VGA in one end that plugs into the adapter above, and the provided RGB cable into your upscanner in the other end, in the CGA INPUT connector. Google VGA pinout, you need to hook up R G B GND and SYNC.
Connect the monitor VGA cable to "VGA OUTPUT"
Connect your naomi game/PC to "VGA BYPASS INPUT"
Shouldn't be more complicated than that I imagine, and no soldering required.

All very well, but impossible to buy..doutor wrote:Hello everyone. My personal choice for JVS to JAMMA converter will absolutely be this NAMCO's.
From my experience, it is the best converter so far. Sorry to invism, but the converter introdused commonly at everywhere, has lag encoding signals,of witch manufacuture admits, plobably will not satisfy everyone here. NAMCO's doesn't have any, except, you may need to rewire test and coin meter, when hooked to SEGA JVS I/O board. Of course, no need for that, if wired directly to them.
Say hello to my little friend...

Re: jamma to a naomi uni
I take it the Konami one, form a Windy, doesn't have lag?
The Namco one in question, is it the one found in the cyberlead?

Note, you can do the stereo/mono thing with the Konami too Although I'm not aware that it can do virtual stereo.
