Yo, just swatting up on the konami jvs>jamma I've got coming. Having had a butchers at the manual on the wiki, am I right in thinking that in order to connect up say zero 3, I will need an inline jamma passthrough to connect buttons 4 and 5, then deliver button 6 to an extra button connector? Obviously with a hirose on the other end to connect to the cps2 board...
The wiring diagram in the manual labels the extra button connector for 6,7,8 as CN3, but from photos of the pcb the only matching connector (8 pin jst) is CN4, which is for test/service/coin?

Re: Konami JVS to JAMMA and CPS2
Heres's what I've done on mine. Maybe there is a better setup but I can guarantee this one work :
All dipswitches are OFF.
Buttons 4 and 5 are wired on a JAMMA fingerboard to match JAMMA+ pinout (1P4=25, 1P5=26, 2P4=c, 2P5=d).
Note that you have to isolate the wires from the PCB side (female side of the fingerboard) or it won't work.
For buttons 1P6 and 2P6, you need to use the CN4 extra connector. It's a NH JST 8pin connector.
Following the JST-NH pinout, correct wiring is :
pin 1 = 1P6
pin 2 = 1P7 (untested)
pin 3 = 1P8 (untested)
pin 4 = 1P GND
pin 5 = 2P6
pin 6 = 2P7 (untested)
pin 7 = 2P8 (untested)
pin 8 = 2P GND
On the Konami board, pay attention to the fact that pin 8 is the closest to the VGA connector (Could save you some time, I was confused at first )

Thanks for that. Very odd that the extra button connector is indeed CN4, when it is labelled as CN3 in the wiring diagram (manual).

Re: Konami JVS to JAMMA and CPS2
Thanks for the info chaps, got round to wiring one up myself. I didn't have a spare fingerboard to hand, so I just went for a quick cable twist at the JAMMA end (pins pop out nicely like an E2 cab) that can be easily reversed without any mod/damage to the adaptor.
