I recently picked up an Upright King of Route 66 cab. I'm currently giving it a bit of a tart up and noticed in the manual that the cab includes a microphone.
The cab I have didn't come with one (I know the chap that had it before asked similar questions but I can't find his posts). Any ideas if a) I can install one b) it makes much difference to the game play?
I've checked with Sega and the microphone part is no longer available. Can't seem to find one anywhere either. I'm wondering if I can just pickup a cheap CB radio type mic and use that?

I was told you can play the game 100% without the microphone, just set the microphone to OFF in the test menu.
Use the wipers button as 'Yes', and the horn button as 'No'. Use the start button for nitro.

Cheers. Looks to play fine from the video.
I had a better look at the control panel this evening, seems that all the electronics are there to support a mic so once I get the cab up and running I might have an experiment with a normal mic and see if it works.
