I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the Namco JVS to JAMMA adapter (like the one seen here: http://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/Namco_JVS ... MA_Adaptor")
can switch resolution from 15khz to 31khz and vice versa. Or is it just a straight conversion of the controls and sound only? For example, if I have a 31khz only monitor on my Net City, and I get the Namco JVS to JAMMA... can I still play JAMMA games on it?

It doesn't up or down scale, no.

Re: Namco JVS to JAMMA
No, you still need an upscaler/linedoubler to play jamma games on a 31 kHz monitor.
Edit: and Pang beat me to it by a few seconds

You probably know this already but for NNC you don't need to upscale the video from JAMMA. The monitor in it accepts 15khz on the VGA input.

I did know that somewhere in the back of my brain.. it's an autoswitching Tri-Sync Chassis, right?ikaruga007 wrote:You probably know this already but for NNC you don't need to upscale the video from JAMMA. The monitor in it accepts 15khz on the VGA input.

Re: Namco JVS to JAMMA
Yes, you can just plug in the VGA cable directly from the JVS-JAMMA converter into the monitor. It syncs automatically.
